Senior Metrologist - Manufacturing Industry - Durban

Hire Resolve is currently collaborating with a client in their pursuit of a highly skilled Metrologist to complement their team in Pinetown. We are seeking an experienced professional who possesses a thorough understanding of metrology principles and techniques, coupled with a proven track record in the field. As a Metrologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of manufacturing processes, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:Conduct dimensional validation of all parts to facilitate the PPAP process, utilizing appropriate available technologies.Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding ISIR/MDR timelines and customer deadlines.Create and maintain measurement setup instructions for all parts.Conceptualize measuring jigs and fixtures to support measurement programming.Develop measurement programs using PolyWorks for repetitive measurements.Prepare accurate ISIR/MDR reports.Monitor outstanding ISIR reports and provide weekly follow-up reports.Participate in the development of assigned trainees through coaching and mentoring.Drive continuous improvement by implementing metrology best practices and technologies.Ensure timely delivery of projects to meet deadlines.Supervise the maintenance of all metrology equipment.Requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in Metrology, Engineering, Physics, or a relevant field of study.Minimum of 5 years of proven experience working in a Metrology Laboratory, with specific expertise in operating co-ordinate measuring machines and PolyWorks measuring program.Demonstrated project management experience.Working knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements pertaining to metrology.Comprehensive understanding of metrology principles, techniques, and instrumentation.Strong analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail, enabling the interpretation of complex technical data.Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across various departments and organizational levels.Proven leadership qualities, including the capacity to mentor and develop junior team members.Proficient problem-solving skills, capable of making well-founded decisions even in high-pressure situations.Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to metrology activities.Contact Hire Resolve for you next career-changing move.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Henker Harmse, Chandre Cordier, Elma Pelser, Alyssa Marson or Tameaka Futcher at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: Engineershireresolve.za.comWe will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
