Concor Mining Services invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Senior Plant Manager. The successful incumbent will report to the Plant Executive. The successful incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing the Plant and Equipment Technical services strategy; manage the plant and equipment technical activities in a cost-effective manner, consistent with quality and safety requirements and executing the plant operating procedures and policies. Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates including disabled applicants. This position is based in Johannesburg, Amalgam and the incumbent will be required to travel to sites. Successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): • Responsible for increasing production by providing technical expertise and develop strategic plans aligned with the organization strategic direction • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all relevant stakeholders • Implements and maintains budgetary constraints for technical expenditure • Responsible for the plant and equipment's analytical reporting • Develops and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, policies and procedures • Ensures alignment of all operational activities to the technical policies and procedures • Establish and monitor overall plant performance to support business operations • Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives • Ensure all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and country regulations are met • Implement and maintain life cycles models, plant useful life indicators, plant replacements models and frameworks and plant rejuvenation intervals • Act as the fixed assets verifications coordinator. Minimum requirements Qualifications • Recognized degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering • Management training or qualification is a requirement • GCC will be of advantage Experience • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Earthmoving Plant and Equipment with technical expertise • Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage • Previous experience in a mining environment is essential Knowledge and Skills • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Ability to drive the technical services results with excellence • Ability to effectively lead the Plant technical services • Ability to recognise opportunities for change and transition • Effective decision-making and judgement skills • Analytical Thinking Medical Aid Pension Fund Risk Benefits (Group Life and Disability) Company Fuel Card
