We are looking for a dynamic, well presented and experienced Senior Restaurant Manager to lead a team and ensure the smooth operation of a Luxury Cape Town Restaurant. Run the business in the absence or the General Manager and have a sound all round understanding of all departments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering outstanding guest experiences. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of servers, hosts/hostesses, chefs, and other restaurant staff to deliver exceptional service and uphold quality standards. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Manage inventory, control costs, and optimize resources to achieve financial targets. Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and enhance profitability. Create and maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among staff. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction. Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones. Collaborate with the culinary team to design and update menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and meet customer preferences. Monitor and analyze sales performance, operational metrics, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to ensure staff members are well-trained and motivated to deliver exceptional service. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices to continuously enhance the restaurant's offerings and service delivery. Requirements: Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in an upscale dining environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in restaurant management software and MS Office applications. Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management, cost control, and menu development.
