Senior Sales Consultant - Cape Town City Centre

Our client based in Cape Town is seeking to employ a skilled Senior Sales Consultant.

Our client is a leading South African furniture and homeware store, with aesthetic that constitutes combining Scandinavian-inspired designs with the textures of nature.

JOB PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for providing an excellent service. You will be required to use excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills to grow your sales pipeline.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Financial Management
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly and YTD:
o Cash Collected (Net of VAT), and
o Discount Target
- Drive new sales opportunities through a variety of innovative methods

Customer/ Brand Management 360°
- Drive exceptional customer service with full accountability for customer engagement and communication
- Assist clients and ensure that their needs are identified and met
- Act as the single point of contact for the client
- Ensure that care instructions are explained
- Maintain general housekeeping and ensure that all items are priced and displayed correctly
- Ensure training compliance in line with company policy

Operational Management
- Ensure that processes detailed below are executed efficiently and as per company policy:
o Sales Orders
o Account Management
o SR Management / Resolution
o Stock take
o Studio Referral
o Decorator / Partner Program

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12/ Matric
- Relevant diploma/ degree advantageous e.g. Interior Design

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience
- Previous experience in consumer-centric environment
- Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills
- Comfortable working with different systems and technology, including POS and stock management systems
- Must be available to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays
- Passionate about décor and the clients' furniture and homeware products.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle essential
