A 2-year contract position has become available for a Senior Technical Advisor – TAMDEV to join our dynamic team, based in Johannesburg. Main Purpose of the Role The role is responsible for supporting Capacity Building, Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings, and Infrastructure Programme (EEPBIP). 1. Programme management: Leading the delivery of the EEPBIP capacity building programme nationally: Leading and managing analysis and research work, to support the design and compilation of a capacity building programme curriculum for the EEPBIP beneficiaries. Promoting the concept of energy efficiency and coordinating EEPBIP induction and training. Managing the preparation and editing of reports and other deliverables. Creating the capacity and supporting process development for identifying projects Identifying and prioritising groups of quick win projects. Executing and managing of contractual obligations including budget controls. 2. Client Management and Capacity Building: Managing the delivery of engagements with clients including: Frequent and structured engagements with the client and funder. Programme awareness workshops. Engagements with the private sector ESCOs. Working with public sector institutions namely municipalities, and provincial departments. Problem-solving with clients (NBI and DMRE) to optimise the impact of the EEPBIP programme and support its delivery. 3. Stakeholder Management: Engage with relevant stakeholders in line with programme requirements: Identification of key stakeholders and/or partners. Supporting the development of key relationships to enhance the team's offering for the delivery of EEPBIP, by building relevant contacts and networks, and attending conferences and exhibitions. Managing relationships with sub-contractors, more specifically energy efficiency and communication experts. The successful candidate must be a great communicator, have experience in Project development, management and delivery, Financial and Risk management, Strategic alignment and thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and Staff management, development and capacity building is also a big part of this role plus problem-solving and decision-making skills. Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience. Sophisticated reporting experience. Proven track record of Stakeholder management. A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in either Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering. A qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage.
