Senior Technical Sales Representative- Water Treatment - South Africa

We're looking for someone with a strong background in technical sales and expertise in water treatment. Requirements: NDip/BSc/BTech/BEng Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or similar Business Management/Project Management qualification will be advantage Min 8 years Technical experience (servicing sites, installing and maintaining dosing equipment, testing and troubleshooting) Min 8 years Sales experience ( proven track record of: new business development, prospecting, presenting solutions, displacing competitors) Previous success in industries with plants/factories with Boilers, CIP, purification or Cooling Towers/ packaging manufacturing/juice or diary production/abattoirs/canneries/mining Code 8/10/14 drivers license Willingness to travel nationally and internationally Duties: To initiate and perpetuate growth of market share in the Water Treatment industry, especially is it pertains to Boilers, Cooling Towers, CIP cleaning, water purification, and more. To prospect, survey, present to, negotiate with and close new clients. To maintain records of sales activities, customer needs, costings derived and SLAs or other agreements and client expectations. To train existing staff on the technical and service requirements on site, such that they can maintain the service elements of the client’s expectations. To eventually drive recruiting efforts for additional staff as needed for this division. To report to management on all activities related to sales and servicing as well as results achieved vs targets on sales. Occasionally be required to do something that would typically fall outside the general purview of their position, such as doing a delivery, assisting with another rep’s customer service calls, or procuring hardware or fittings for a specific installation or project.
