Service Manager (large Gensets) - Saudi - South Africa

To guide, control and lead the service department (Gensets) to achieve the objectives of the Department, in terms of profitability and customer satisfaction. Maximise return on investment while ensuring customer satisfaction. Must have Genset experience. Qualifications and Relevant Certifications - At least Diploma in Engineering preferably with a major in Electrical Engineering - OEM-level training certificates will be an advantage Experience - 5-10 years of experience in a similar field - OEM-level training on a variety of genset brands and experience with a wide variety of configurations - Experience with Diesel Engines for different industrial applications like power, off-highway, commercial trucks and material handling - Experience with equipment having electrical components like MV switchgear, AMF panel and industrial grade relays like SEL - Candidates with prior experience on multiple brands will be given a priority - Thorough knowledge of diesel engines including various types of coupling based on applications - Experience resolving all types of issues with regards to gensets Main Responsibilities - Setting up the workshop in a manner to achieve optimal performance - Ensure sufficient staff as per agreed budgets to achieve or exceed budget performance/objectives - To regularly monitor Quality and ensure practices are in place to achieve First Time Right (FTR) - Identify market opportunities and add capabilities by means of capex, recruitment and enhancement of Service facilities - Control of assets and consumables both Inbound and outbound - Deliver training programs as per identified areas for development - Ensure and take appropriate action in coordination with HR for the discipline of the Service department - Responsible for the maintenance of the Service premises - Always maintain the dealership’s financial control to assist the General Manager and Senior Management Team in all aspects of running the dealership. - Identify - To ensure that the Health and Safety at Work Act regulations are observed as laid down in the Company Handbook. - To comply with the aims and objectives of Customer Satisfaction Programmes. - To understand, comply and maintain the procedures associated with ISO 9000 family of policies. - To perform other tasks as reasonably requested by the Service Director. Basic will be in the range of SR 12500-15000 with Housing at 25 % of the Basic, Transportation at SR 1750, and Mobile Allowance at SR 200.
