Description: Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company based in Gauteng is currently seeking a Shaft Timberman to join their mining team. Responsibilities: Ensure the safety of self and team members by applying relevant standards and procedures in all planning and execution of maintenance activities Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and company standards Contribute to a culture of safety by adhering to all health, safety, environmental, and security policies and procedures Conduct pre-work assessments and participate in safety meetings Assist in the maintenance of equipment and perform basic construction work Inspect and ensure the safety of the shaft barrel and the hanging side and footwall within each section Requirements: Grade 12 Onsetter Certificate Blasting Certificate for Hard Rock Mining 5 years' experience in a shaft and construction environment Experience in the use of explosives Advanced knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act Medically Fit Benefits: Salary: Negotiable Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) Contact Hire Resolve today for your next career changing move.
