Look no further My client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SHER Manager to oversee and enhance their safety, health, environment, and risk management programs. With at least 5 years of proven experience in the field, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. If you're passionate about creating a safe and sustainable work environment, we want to hear from you Minimum Requirement Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or related field. SAMTRAC qualification is advantages. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SHER Manager in the manufacturing industry. Environmental management system qualification. NEBOSH certification. HIRA training. Responsibilities: Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety, health, environmental, and risk management policies and procedures. Ensure policies are aligned with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Compliance Assurance: Monitor and enforce compliance with local, provincial and national safety and environmental regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address non-compliance issues. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation. Implement measures to minimize workplace accidents, injuries, and environmental impact. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee awareness of safety, health, and environmental issues. Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and environmental spills. Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address potential workplace emergencies. Coordinate drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit regulatory reports related to safety, health, and environmental performance. Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and corrective actions. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance. Implement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of the SHER program. R 40 000 - R 50 000 - Monthly
