- At least 2-3 years experience in production / machine maintenance and 2-3 years experience in team supervision.
- Grade 12, with English and Mathematics
- Any related certificates or diplomas would be advantageous.
- Machine maintenance / experience will be advantageous.
- Supervisory / management / 1st line leadership certificates will be beneficial.
- Computer Literate / Ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal) / Leading a team.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise, delegate, and organise a production team, cleaners and other general labourers to ensure shift targets are reached.
- Perform product inspections and work together with quality control staff to ensure the highest possible product quality, and to minimise re-work and wastage.
- Oversee and monitor all consumables and raw materials to ensure stock levels are sufficient for continuous production.
- Conduct stock keeping and reporting.
- Perform root causes analysis for any production challenges. Propose solutions.
- Ensure staff adherence to all Health & Safety rules and regulations and overall housekeeping requirements.
- Perform production related data capturing, and report to management.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance where possible and report faulty machines immediately.
- Motivate team members and provide support and guidance when needed.
