Shop Assistant - Paarl
Kropman en Seun, a well-established paint retail store in the Cape Winelands, is seeking to employ a permanent Shop Assistant to join their team in Paarl.
Responsibilities:
- Sales
- Customer service
- Placing and receiving orders, and ensuring clients receive orders
- Stock control & housekeeping
- Day-to-day finances (debtors and creditors entries on Pastel)
- General administration
- Reporting
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience in sales
- Hardware industry experience would be advantageous
- Professional work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (Afrikaans & English)
- Good financial / numerical understanding and skills
- Professional appearance, demeanour, and conduct
- High performance / result attitude
- Good computer skills (MS Office & Pastel)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict situations
- Willingness to work store hours (incl. every 2nd Saturday)
A market-related remuneration package, in accordance with qualifications and experience, will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
