SINCLAIR: Trainee Technician - Paarl

We have an exciting Trainee Technician position within our Sinclair fruit labelling business. The successful candidate will receive on the job training to become a Sinclair technician who will take ultimate responsibility & ownership of all technical aspects of installing and maintaining Sinclair labelling equipment at customer sites. We are looking for candidates who are practical & capable as well as self-motivated, energetic and willing to learn. They must have: A technical background with an affinity for electrics Computer literate (good understanding of MS Word, Excel.) Minimum N3 or grade 12 Completion of an electrical and/or mechanical course would be an advantage Prior work experience would be a big advantage Good communication skills (both written and spoken) Logical, methodical way of working Self-disciplined and able to work independently Strong work ethic Valid Driver’s license essential– code 8 or 12 Physically fit, healthy, and energetic due to the physical nature of the work Willing to travel both nationally and internationally Able to work after hours when required Must be able to work under pressure Must be adaptable and able to fit into an existing team Primary Responsibilities: Servicing and maintenance on label applicators and cassettes Servicing of BVC pumps and chop and blow pumps Installation of labelling machines Servicing of complete labelling machines Removal of labelling machines Faultfinding and repairing of labelling machines Delivering labels to customers if and when necessary General housekeeping of workstation and general workshop area (indicate position applying for): Foot note: HGM reserves the right to not fill this post at this time.
