Site Agent - South Africa
Our client is medium sized construction company based in Cape Town, operating for the last 17 years in the construction and renovations sector. They are currently looking to recruit a young, highly efficient and technically minded Senior Site Engineer/ Site Agent. The candidate must be capable of managing multiple projects of a renovation/ alteration nature and with some of those being in occupied spaces. He/ She must be capable of delivering work of an exceptional quality and maintaining a very high standard.
In this role you will be required to oversee site operations and administration on multiple renovation projects ranging in value between
The ideal candidate will be required to;
- Manage site teams made up of site foremen, OHS, clerks, subcontractors, etc.
- Work on a basic/ intermediate level with CCS in generating and updating programmes
- Compile and submit fortnightly progress reports
- Manage and drive progress on sites
- Take responsibility for project quality and QA documentation
- Represent the company in meetings
- Placing orders for materials and with subcontractors
- Assist in handling contractual and legislative correspondence timeously
- Ensure financial performance by controlling all resources optimally
Key Qualities/ Qualifications
- ND/ Btech/ BSc in Civil Engineering/ Construction Management
- 5 years of technical experience in a role of a similar nature
- A basic understanding of JBCC and NEC contracts
- Meticulous in document management and implementation of processes
- A high degree of ethics and representation of company values
- Must be able to communicate at all levels
