A Medical Insurance Company based in Benoni is looking for a hardworking individual to fulfil a Skills Development Facilitator role within the GRC Department who will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of all skills development activities within the business including ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements with the Skills Development Act, B-BBEE Reporting for Transformation requirements as well as compilation and submissions of the Annual SETA reporting Key Performance Areas Facilitate the career development process for staff. Co-ordinate legal and statutory submissions for Skills Development across the organisations. Keep accurate records and provide purposeful reports to the organisation. Key Tasks Facilitate the career development process for staff . Conduct skills assessments to identify current skills, strengths, and areas for improvement. Arrange and co-ordinate outsourced training interventions. Collaborate with management to approve or decline career development requests. Conduct due diligence on qualifications, institutions, and staff members to ensure compliance with company processes, accreditation requirements and alignment to the South African Qualifications Authority and NQF. Ensure compliance with the company’s study loan processes, issuing study loan agreements, confirming adherence to agreements, liaising with HR to confirm early exits or breaches and ensuring repayments are loaded and adhered to by current and former employees. Assist and guide staff throughout the studying process to facilitate completion of all outsourced training interventions. Collaborate with HR, management, and other stakeholders to align career development with organisational goals. Co-ordinate legal and statutory submissions for Skills Development across the organisations. Collect and organise required training information, documentation and evidence for Skills Development submissions, Transformation plans or B-BBEE audits. Facilitate the successful submissions of annual SETA reports. Communicate with SETA’s and other stakeholders regarding grants. Co-ordinate with finance, payroll, and HR for all skills development reporting requirements. Research and ensure adherence to learnerships, grant requirements or tax incentive structures or opportunities for the organisation. Keep abreast of discretionary grant windows, learning opportunities and developments with the Skills Development space. Keep accurate records and provide purposeful reports to the organisation Maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system for all legal and statutory submissions. Archive submitted documents for future reference and audits. Record individualised training plans for each staff member. Budgeting, invoicing, recoupments, and any other financial information as required to facilitate skills development. Other requirements A Skills Development Facilitator must be registered with the relevant SETA’s. Essential Qualifications Matric SAQA Aligned OETDP Qualification. Desirable Qualifications SAQA Aligned FSCA approved qualification (NQF5) FAIS Regulatory Examination for Representatives (RE5) Legal or Statutory Requirements Registered with all SETAs as a Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) Essential Experience (Have-to-Have: Deal Breakers) Minimum 2 - 3 years in a skills development role Minimum 2 - 3 years in a learning and/or development role. Desirable Experience Relevant skills development, training, and facilitation role within an organisation. Knowledge and Skills Understanding of the inter-relationships between SARS, SETA and the skills development industries including the Skills Development Act and the Skills Development Levies Act. Thorough understanding and experience in dealing with the NQF, SAQA, QCTO, DHET/CHE and their relative Acts. Understanding of the B-BBEE codes, particularly skills development. Attributes Can adapt to working independently and within a team environment depending on the requirements of the task. Self-managed and self-motivated. Remains calm under pressure.
