Contribute to an effective service delivery through the handling, monitoring and control of Ocean, Air and Road Freight ocean export shipments from start to finish within required specifications and in accordance with agreed policies and procedures. Key performance areas: Required to complete 15 - 30 files per month Assist team members file with registration Follow up with airline / agent / carrier for ANF and or related charges upload invoices to sharepoint for approval Forwarding: Prioritise shipments based on POL - routing / carrier service Arrange forwarding according to INCO term (Check credit limit) Perform forwarding milestones in line with ICF guidelines on CW1 Ensure full prealert is received and uploaded into EDocs Process RCG if required Tracking and communication until milestone ATD Clearing Process: Track shipment and communicate to client via Status report Request ANF and clearing instructions timeously (check credit limit) Ensure shipment is pre cleared in accordance of ACT Ensure release documentation is sent to the line Issue Transportation instruction (CW1) to approved suppliers Continuous monitoring and communication to all select stakeholders Milestone updates for automated reporting from inception of shipment Arrange and coordinate transporters and delivery requirements for team Aid and assist in booking Port health / DAFF etc Perform basic freight forwarding functions and support Perform basic clearances and support Be able to communicate with internal and external stakeholders in order to execute on our commitments to the client Cargowise milestones updates Matric NCFF (NQF ¾), FIATA Diploma advantageous Logistics or similar degree/diploma advantageous 3 – 5 years‘ experience Perishables supply chain management experience in Export Freight Services Forwarding and Clearing experience is required with a good knowledge of Logistics/Supply Chain processes A proven track record in a Perishable export function. Knowledge of perishable import and exports operations Knowledge of supplier management Knowledge of perishable operational planning. Knowledge of global shipping and trade routes. Customer commitments are met and exceeded Ensure customer commitments are met and exceeded Comprehensive knowledge of the forwarding and clearing industry, Incoterms and customs requirements Cargowise 1 preferable Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel Ability to work under pressure Market Related
