Summary: Manage the overall planning, organizing and operations of the outbound function for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Aftermarket and Exports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Oversee receiving, storage, picking, and distribution of goods to final customers. Monitor inventory levels to ensure on time delivery levels to customers is maximized. Analyze performance to optimize operations in the warehouse. Responsible for the input of customer requirements into the company SAP systems. Evaluate / Select transportation or freight services. Manage day to day vendor relations. Review customer orders in order to plan work activities. Assigns workers to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of and storing incoming merchandise and assembling customer orders for delivery. Establishes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory. Coordinates activities of distribution warehouse with activities of sales, record control, and purchasing departments to ensure availability of merchandise. Directs reclamation of damaged merchandise. Reviews queries and decides on credit procedure. Ensure safety compliance. Manage the annual stock take in responsibility. Train and manage staff on standard operating procedures. Ensure that all deliveries are performed as per the relevant “customer specific requirements”. Ensure OEM customer portals are maintained. Ensure IT systems are maintained, and issues are resolved timeously. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: Logistics/Warehouse qualification and at least 5 years distribution warehousing experience within the automotive manufacturing industry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software, and in-depth knowledge SAP. Above Average knowledge of SAP SD and WM Modules. Working knowledge of EDI systems. Experience with SAP Master Data maintenance. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisory responsibilities are carried out in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
