Snr Systems Administrator - Pretoria

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize Active Directory environment, including domains, azure connect, trusts, replication, and Group Policy.
  • Implement security best practices within Active Directory to control user access and permissions.
  • Working with RMM software like Atera, enable for remote support, updates, and management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory-related issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Setup and Manage VPN connections.
  • Configure and manage Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) for user authentication and identity synchronization.
  • Monitor and analyse IT infrastructure and on-prem and cloud services.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and procedures, promoting a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage Windows servers on-prem and cloud ensure updates are performed monthly and security standard are applied.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across IT infrastructure.
  • Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments.
  • Stay informed about evolving cyber threats and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field including Microsoft Certifications.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Senior IT Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory administration and security best practices.
  • Understanding of local domain certificates and replacement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with security solutions like SIEM, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
