We're URGENTLY seeking a Social Media Strategist - Permanent Position - KwaZulu - Natal. Must have experience in paid advertising and tracking Return on investment (ROI) in terms of audience engagement, etc across platforms This is a hybrid role – WFH and able to commute to Ballito and other site meetings. All work travel is reimbursed and will be discussed in the intervie Contribute to social media strategy and work closely with the communications lead to creating detailed strategies balanced between ever-green, niche and trend-related content across all platforms. ● Effectively implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase clients online presence and engagement across various platforms , including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram,Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. ● Create compelling and visually engaging content, including photos, videos, graphics, and written posts, that align with the client's mission, vision and resonate with their target audiences,utilising strong storytelling techniques. ● Manage all social media accounts, including scheduling posts,monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages, and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. ● Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing,communications, and program managers, to ensure alignment of messaging and consistency in brand voice. ● Cultivate and nurture relationships with storytellers, partners, and stakeholders to amplify the clients reach and impact. ● Monitor social media analytics and track key performance metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns and initiatives,making data-driven decisions to optimise results. ● Stay informed about wildlife conservation issues, environmental news, and relevant topics to contribute to content creation and stay relevant in conversations within the community. ● Represent the clients at events, conferences, and other public engagements, both locally and internationally, to network, build relationships, and gather content. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, environmental science, or a related field. 1-2 solid years of experience with putting together social media strategy Proven experience (3 years) in social media management . Preference will be given to experience in the conservation or environmental sector. Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices , with a focus on audience engagement and growth. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong storytelling abilities. Salary: R15 000 - R20 000 per month (non-negotiable) Location: KZN This is a hybrid role – WFH and able to commute to Ballito and other site meetings.
