In this role, you will be reporting to the Engineering Manager, and work alongside a diverse and talented group of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the energy landscape. Job Description:With excellent scope for growth, your daily outputs include designing renewable energy systems, accurately calculating predicted project costs, estimating system productions, and ensuring the operational robustness of the designed systems. Due to the upward trajectory of this fast-growing industry, you will need to keep informed about the latest technological advancements in the Solar PV and energy storage industry, to help ensure that the company stays at the forefront of innovative, customized solutions.Responsibilities and Duties:Assist the Engineering Manager or Senior Project Engineer in designing of renewable energy systemsDo site inspections to accurately design and cost new projectsDraw up budgets for proposed new projectsCreate detailed drawings for information and construction purposesCreate as built drawingsMeasure and create bills of quantities for installationsAccurately simulate system performances and/or productionsForm part of commissioning team on site during project commissioningAssist with any engineering related operations and maintenance issuesAssist in creating design tools for engineering departmentAssist the project specific Project Manager with any engineering related project related issuesSkills & Experience: Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visualization softwareThe ability to work with multiple disciplines of projectsThe ability to work across multiple projects in parallelExcellent organizational, time management, leadership and decision making skillsStrong written and verbal communicationKnowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards and best practicesThe ability to work within budgets and to deadlinesAttention to detailQualification:B.Eng/BSc/ Eng/B.Tech Eng in Electrical engineering.Eligible to register with the Engineering Council of South Africa Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
