Our client who delivers global logistics and shipping solutions for cars, trucks, rolling equipment, and breakbulk is looking for a highly skilled Solution Architect Lead to join their team in Westville, Durban. This role involves providing technology vision, leadership, and mentorship throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring the design, development, and implementation of all South African Business Systems in alignment with the company's goals. Key Responsibility Areas: Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing systems and software packages. Lead and mentor the development team to ensure productivity. Identify emerging information technologies for assimilation within the company. Develop and update system documentation with every version update. Assess new computing technologies for potential value to the company. Direct information and data integrity, ensuring security in adherence to corporate cybersecurity standards. Manage application development and support resources within the information technology department. Collaborate with company managers on operations impacted by information processing. Advise senior management on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals. Education, Experience & Training: Degree in Computer Science or Similar Qualifications. Minimum of 10 years general IT experience. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar IT leadership position. Minimum of 10 years Full Stack Development Experience (majority with C#). Extensive knowledge of multiple back-end languages (like C#, Java), back-end frameworks, and front-end frameworks. Extensive knowledge and working experience of MSSQL databases, web servers, and application services. Experience with coaching, mentoring, and project management. Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies, with Azure working experience. Experience in Logistics/Supply Chain environment, data warehousing, and Power BI would be advantageous.
