Reference: Pta000009-NDP-1We are looking for an energetic Sous Chef for a 5 star Game Lodge based in the North West province relatively close to Zeerust. Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification 1-5 years experience as a Sous Chef Experience within a 5star Establishment Valid drivers license (Essential) Must be energetic and well spoken Creative and ability to come up with new ideas Must be flexible and deadline driven Able to deal with pressure in the kitchen Understand Cost of Sales Duties (not limited to): Directs food preparation and collaborates with executive chef. Helps in the design of food and drink menu. Produces high quality plates, including both design and taste. Oversees and supervises kitchen staff. Assists with menu planning, inventory, and management of supplies. Ensures that food is top quality and that kitchen is in good condition. Keeps stations clean and complies with food safety standards. Offers suggestions and creative ideas that can improve upon the kitchen’s performance. Prepares food properly. Schedules staff shifts. Trains new employees. Orders food supplies. Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment.
