Reference: FRD000214-KB-1Client based in Cape Town seeks the services of Specialist Credit Control: Overall responsibility for reconciling the daily cash and credit card collections to the daily retail store sales. Key Responsibilities: Reconciliation of daily sales for retail stores between ALS and SAP Clearing of Retail customer accounts Allocating costs of in store marketing campaigns to MWB during month end close process Creating and updating of customer, employee and vendor master data Manage the petty cash reimbursement process for retail stores Ensuring correct accounting treatment of gift cards and vouchers Following up with retail stores on all outstanding petty cash submissions and liaising with district managers if there are any issues Ensuring there are no vendor accounts in a debit balance Manage all retail AMEX card data, queries and new store card applications Reconciliation of retail AMEX card statement vs SAP replication Intercompany group reconciliation, forecasting, invoice creation and collection of payments Staff / Company sale of assets, creation of invoices and collection of payments Retail out of pocket expense claim submission to payroll Preparation of retail cash advances journals and reconciliation Enhance efficiencies within the current processes in Credit Control Key Internal Relationships: Retail and Sales departments Profit and Protection Local Accounting department FP&A team IT department Various internal stakeholders Key External Relationships Customers Banks KPIs: Communicate cash shortages Aging of Receivables Overdues DSO Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work towards tight deadlines MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Intermediate level Fluent in English (written and spoken) Collaboration with all colleagues from all levels across the business Strong inter-personal and active listening skills Innovative and problem solver by nature Excellent attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables in a high performing environment. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in finance (e.g. Bcom) Knowledge of retail store operations and back office processes 2 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role SAP experience is an advantage.
