DAYBREAK FOODS requires the services of a dedicated and knowledgeable ESG Specialist who will be responsible for developing and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance policies and procedures. The incumbent will provide technical expertise on key issues related to environmental and social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, implementation and supervision of Daybreak's operations taking into consideration best industry practices and standards ▪ Conduct comprehensive assessments of environmental, social and governance practices within Daybreak Foods. ▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business strategies and operations. ▪ Analyse and interpret data related to ESG factors and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders. ▪ Develop and implement strategies to enhance environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and governance practices. ▪ Engage with internal and external stakeholders to stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes related to ESG. ▪ Participate in stakeholder engagement activities and addressing inquiries related to ESG practices. ▪ Contribute to the development and communication of ESG policies and initiatives in Daybreak Foods ▪ Support the preparation of ESG reports for regulatory compliance and public disclosure. ▪ Provide training and guidance to relevant business units on ESG principles, fostering a culture of responsibility and awareness • Matric / Grade 12 • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Business or related field • Must have at least 4 years' experience in the field of sustainability reporting / ESG Assurance / environmental and social risk management or corporate sustainability • Must possess in-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting methodologies • Proven experience with sustainable investment principles and ESG rating agencies • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting
