We are looking for a Specialist Platform Engineer / VMWare Architecture to join our financial services client based in Johannesburg for a 12-months contract role. What you will be doing: The scope of the VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Services comprises the following: VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Administration. VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Maintenance and Support. VMWare Architect, Engineering and Operations Installation and configuration in line with the requirement. What we are looking for : Completed IT / BSc degree or other related fields 5-10 years’ experience for each. Virtualization Technology: VMWare, Hyper-V and Powerflex. Database Technology: MS SQL, Oracle 11G. Server Operating Systems: Windows Server, Oracle Linux (RHEL), Centos7/8, Redhat, Suse. Programming Languages: Bash, HTML, SQL, PL/SQL. Tools: HA Proxy, Splunk. Cloud Technologies: AWS, Azure. Methodologies and Frameworks: IT Major Incident Management, ITIL Incident, Change, Problem Management, ITIL Governance and Compliance.
