We are looking for a strong leader; someone who is passionate about coaching and developing a high-performing team, overseeing the daily operations of the store and managing stock levels. My client is a well established fashion retailer who is in search of a Store Manager for their Store in Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Durban. Leadership and team management : Recruit, train, and supervise a team of retail associates, ensuring they deliver outstanding customer service. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to enhance team performance. Foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration Sales and performance Set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve and exceed them Monitor sales metrics, analyse data, and implement actions to improve store performance. Utilise effective sales techniques to drive revenue and meet company objectives. Customer experience - Ensure exceptional customer service standards are upheld at all times Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency. Develop and maintain strong relationships with regular customers to drive loyalty and repeat business. Inventory management Oversee inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stock replenishment.Implement efficient inventory management practices to minimise stock losses and maintain optimal stock levels Visual merchandising- Ensure the store layout and product displays are visually appealing and aligned with the company's brand image. Regularly update and maintain visual merchandising standards to attract customers and drive sales. Store operations Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and adherence to safety standards. Oversee daily opening and closing procedures to ensure operational efficiency. Manage store budgets and expenses, working to achieve cost-effective operations. Compliance - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.Implement loss prevention measures to safeguard the store against theft and shrinkage. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail management. Proven experience as a retail fashion store manager or similar managerial role in the retail industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Sound understanding of retail sales principles and customer service practices. Proficient in inventory management and visual merchandising.Analytical and problem-solving skills to drive sales and operational improvements. Drivers licence and own vehicle an advantage Apply Now
