Lead and enable a sourcing and quality team to ensure the provision of world- class sourcing of merchandise and suppliers to support the merchandise strategy and ensure best value and quality is delivered. To support the Resource strategy through developing clear enhancement plans for select suppliers to develop supplier performance. On the ground sourcing at origin to find the right supplier to deliver the right product, at the right price, to be delivered to the right place, at the right time Be the strategic lead on implementing the process, strategy and execution behind low cost sourcing and stock buys, to ensure the profitable value champion position of the division. Education: A completed degree or diploma preferably in Procurement, Sourcing or Clothing Management Experience: 6-8 years merchandise or manufacturing experience with 1-2 years at a supervisory or management level Specific knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of: Corporate Social Responsibility; Sustainable practices; fabric technology; raw materials and manufacturing MS Office Excel, Negotiation skills, analysing data Business Understanding: Merchandise and business processes, commercial acumen and understanding of customers' needs. Market positioning. Leadership: Supervise the sourcing and quality function to achieve KPI's.Build a high performance team of highly engaged and empowered associates who understand the divisional and departmental strategies to ensure the ability to work collaboratively with the merchandise team, suppliers and support functions to achieve business goals. Lead by example to positively influence key stakeholders and business partners. Analysis: 1) Conduct in depth analysis and monitoring of key metrics across the sourcing and quality value chain in order to measure supplier performance and highlight potential risks or further opportunities to the business 2) Investigate ways in which to enhance business processes, improve efficiencies and reduce costs / waste in the pipeline for optimal results and to maximise additional profitability opportunities. Supplier Development and Management 1) Build strategic supplier relationships and identify new partnerships for long term sustainability. 2) Research and provide new vendor solutions in line with business requirements in order to contribute to the Company's profitability. 3) Develop, implement and monitor improvement plans to drive performance across the key metrics for targeted non performing or potential new suppliers. 4) Looking for new opportunities in low cost sourcing with countries of origin and category extensions Strategy: Participate in developing, implementing and driving a short and long term sourcing and quality strategy to support the business strategic objectives and merchandise direction and ensure execution thereof Project Management: Formulate and lead the strategy, process and execution of stock buys and low cost sourcing. Work with the merchant teams to source new suppliers, countries of source and alternate low cost fabrications. Find the opportunities within missing price points in the market. Deliver on set targets and margin requirements. Report and analyze stock buys -current trade and post mortem/strategy. Communicate to line manager on progress of projects on a regular basis. Sustainability: Engage with key stakeholders on the Group's Sustainability and Supplier Compliance initiatives to monitor and ensure Divisional targets are met as set in the annual business strategy
