Ensuring safe achievement of production performance levels through the effective maintenance of equipment Visiting sites and equipment locations on the mine and undertake equipment audits and inspections in respect to engineering workmanship, quality and compliance with engineering policies, procedures and standards Identifying control procedures to ensure each key risk for equipment type is properly controlled and monitored Attending to winder breakdowns Monitoring compliance to winder maintenance schedules to remedy deviations Ensuring compliance to MHSA and Sibanye Stillwater standards and procedures Interacting with other departments and across functional teams Reporting defects and abnormalities to appropriate supervisor or manager Prepare and update procedures, specifications, regulations, safe work procedures, codes of practice etc. Apply legal requirements and complete safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports Prepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customers Ensure that accurate labour records including overtime worked are maintained Ensure completion of log sheets and down time reports Ensure that engineering administration requirements are complied with Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System Focus on safety and health as well as operational excellence Improve our position on global industry cost curve Supporting, coaching and participating in the training and development of maintenance staff, learners and apprentices National N4/S2 Certificate The Appointee should: Have a National N4/S2 Certificate Have a Electrical Trade Test Certificate Have at least 5 years' experience as an Electrician with specific 2 years' experience on Winders Be computer literate in full Microsoft Office Be able to effectively communicate and be literate in English Have sound analytical and decision-making skills Have good interpersonal skills Have a broad range Winder knowledge Have ability to work independently Be familiar with risk assessment procedures Be in possession of a driver's license Code EB Have a Clear security screening record Be declared medically fit to function in the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Centre Occupational Advantageous Qualifications: National Diploma or equivalent Professional registration as a Technician with ECSA Will be discussed in interview
