Finance Support Services Division has a vacant post for a Supervisor: Warehousing Distribution & Logistics. Responsibilities: Manage Inventory management (Physical adjustments, credits, inter-store transfers, return to suppliers, stock issuing, stock levels). Prepare and manage Month end and opening procedures. Supervise the day-to-day operations of the stores. Compile monthly management report by 5th of each month. Consulting with auditors external and internal about queries to audit to ensure no re-reporting of audit. Lead monthly meetings with staff to provide feedback and to address departmental concerns, processes and ensure staff are kept up to date with any changes in the institution that might affect them. Aid and ensure that all staff is trained. Conduct a formal performance review with all staff and agree with staff a developmental plan. Take personal responsibility for correcting problems: Gives responses to customer's questions and follow-up their inquiries, requests, and complaints within 48 hours. Maintains clear timeous communication of any changes that might affect stakeholders. Always displays a positive and professional image and attitude to the stakeholders, supports composure in demanding situations. Create a supportive work environment. Ethical compliance. Enforcing Policy and SOP's compliance. Degree or relevant qualification (NQF 7). A minimum of 2 - 3 years' relevant managerial experience. Proficiency in English and one other South African language. Sound knowledge of basic business management processes. Thorough understanding of warehousing and distribution procedures and policies. Proven computer skills in Excel, Windows, and MS Office. Advanced experience of ITS and Oracle. Experience working with courier companies. Recommendations: Previous supervisory experience in warehouse and distribution environment Competencies and Behavioural Attributes: Ability to work in a team and independently. Good listening skills Working Conditions: High workload and might be required to work overtime with no remuneration for overtime.
