Systems Analyst - - Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities:

Gather and prioritise requirements from internal stakeholders for new systems or enhancements.
Analyse current systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
Develop actionable roadmaps for improving workflows and processes, and establish and organise KPIs in line with global directives.
Lead the development and implementation of new systems, from conceptualisation to deployment.
Coordinate with external vendors, providing clear requirements and overseeing their work to meet project objectives.
Liaise between various departments and groups, collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams.
Utilise SQL expertise to analyse data and design database structures to support system functionality.
Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# to understand system architecture and contribute to development efforts.
Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption and utilisation of new systems.
Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, mathematics, business management, or economics.
Proven experience as a Systems Analyst with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Experience in vendor management including contract negotiation and oversight.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and database management.
Understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
