T&D QA/QC Officer - South Africa
Minimum requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Electrical/Civil Engineering diploma and/or relevant trade test. More than 5 year' experience as a Clerk of Work/Site Supervisor on Transmission or Distribution substations (up to 132kV) Detailed understanding of substation civil and electrical scope Detailed knowledge of Transmission or Distribution substation standards (up to 132kV) Detailed knowledge and understanding of OEM and Quality Inspection and test Plans Ability to read and interpret electrical engineering drawings and schematics Ability to read and interpret civil engineering drawings Some experience of substation equipment testing, and commissioning will be advantageous Driver's License and own transport Required outputs and responsibilities: The major responsibility of this position is to ensure quality of work on substation sites across SA. The position will involve liaising with Quality personnel, Engineers and Project Managers Adherence to Proconics Quality system on site Reporting on any non-conformance to the Construction Manager and Project Issuing NCRs to subcontractors and suppliers in line with Proconics Quality system Ensure that the multidisciplinary engineering and design intent is being carried through the construction phase, supporting safe, successful construction completion and ensuring commissioning and start-up success Personal attributes: Ability to work under pressure Ability to interact and work on different levels Ability to priorities and time management Have good communication and negotiating skills Good coaching and knowledge transferring skills Good conceptual and analytic problem solving Competent in conflict and crisis management skills Self-disciplined and motivated Strong team player
