Glen Carlou, situated in the Simonsberg-Paarl area has a vacancy for a Tasting Room Manager. The Tasting Room Manager will be mainly responsible for the management of all daily operations in the Tasting Room. Duties: Oversee the daily operations of the Tasting Room, which includes tastings, visitor relations, tours, staff management and performances, cash-ups, and stock control Inventory management of wine, retail merchandise and tasting room supplies Partner with wine educators, winemakers, and production staff to ensure the staff receives the appropriate level of sales, product, and general wine education and training Coordinate wine related hospitality events Handle routine purchasing transactions, including operating registers, and accounting for daily sales Ad hoc duties as required Requirements: Grade 12 with a qualification in Wine Tourism At least five (5) years' experience in a managerial position in the wine industry Be knowledgeable of all wine offerings Must demonstrate a positive attitude, professional and excellent service and hospitality to a high level of guest satisfaction Strong interpersonal skills, team player and a leader Strong verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans and an additional language will be to your benefit Energetic, accountable, and team-oriented Reliable, responsible, and organized Attentive to detail, planning and thoroughness Proficient in EzyWine, Excel, or ability to learn these programs Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced working environment By Submitting your information and application you hereby confirm: That you have read and understood our Privacy Policy ( www.hopcal.co.za ).
