Our client is a long established Accounting firm in Morningside. Minimum Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Tax pref. Minimum 5 years experience in tax calculations and completing income tax returns for individuals. Tax administration experience essential. Key Performance Areas: Liaise with clients regarding the tax deadlines, requesting tax certificates, schedules, rental files, tax representation/engagement letters. Assist with provisional tax calculations and email clients for their figures when requested by the MD. Liaise with the client re: updates of personal particulars/banking details. Compile tax calculation and schedules from client information. Capital reconciliations. Complete income tax returns on SARS e-Filing. Ensure calculation agrees with SARS calculation. Attend to telephonic queries with clients regarding taxes. Attend to SARS audit queries related to own portfolio. Tax calculations and monitoring top up payments. Assist with: uploading tax clients supporting documents on e-Filing; assisting with the tax filing checking and submitting tax returns, capturing tax returns and assessments; opening new tax files. Facilitate tax clearance certificates. Complete Trust tax returns - adhoc. Assist with Deceased Estate tax returns when requested. Track client base to ensure deadlines are met and adhered to. Competencies Required: Ability to work well under pressure. Deliver on time and within budget. Accurate. Attention to detail. Strong time management and organisational skills. Knowledge of taxation legislation and ability to research legislation. Integrity and trustworthiness. Co-operative/team attitude
