Immediate Superior: Head of Tax Location: Johannesburg or Cape Town Function: Finance Sub Function: Tax Type of Contract: Permanent Reference Number: 105709 Closing Date: 20 March 2024 Managing and monitoring the Indirect Tax compliance of South African entities and Customs and Excise compliance of all non-South African entities in the Heineken Beverages Group Manage and execute regular operational tax reviews across the SA entities and provide support to implement plans to progress items arising from such reviews New VAT code allocations on COUPA Preparation of Indirect Tax returns Preparing and/or reviewing of tax calculations and all other related calculations and reconciliations for financial reporting purposes Attend to tax related queries from Revenue Authorities and assist with or prepare responses to queries raised by the tax authorities Advise business on technical matters Review legal agreements to ensure tax compliance Assess tax implications of proposed trade routes Monitor, analyse and communicate legislative changes to local management Issuing of opinions Maintaining a tax risk register Supporting Tax Manager regarding tax risk management, tax audits, review and structuring of transactions etc Participation in tax related projects, e.g., update and implementation of internal tax processes and guidelines, analysis of upcoming tax changes, development of guidance on these changes including internal training of the respective employees and implementation in the company Highlight tax issues and propose feasible solutions The Company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
