Apply today and take the next step in your accounting career Send your CV to Katesalixrecruitment.co.za Duties: Work collaboratively with another accounting technical accountant to handle IFRS17 accounting & reporting design Build and maintain relationships with important stakeholders, such as actuarial and insurance systems staff Carry out monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks according to the designed plan, including gathering data, processing journals, and making disclosures on management accounts & Annual Financial Statements Prepare and present technical updates and share industry news with relevant stakeholders when needed Analyse budget differences alongside the management team and other finance colleagues to offer insights Lead monthly meetings with the management team to review the monthly management accounts and address finance-related questions or issues Coordinate with both internal and external auditors Respond promptly to audit requests and resolve any audit questions efficiently Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) BCom Accounting CTA CA(SA) Experience: Completed SAICA Articles within a well-recognised firm Must have a background in a reporting environment during their articles IFRS technical accounting proficiency is a must Experience in the insurance industry is a plus Skills & Competencies: Being hardworking and aiming to do better than expected Good at analysing, solving math problems, and thinking logically Can adjust to different people, groups, and places easily Good at using technology and understanding how things work Knows a lot about insurance laws If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
