Technical Advisor Apply now » Posting Date: Feb 27, 2024 Location: Cape Town, ZA Company: PERI Technical Advisor On-site Services Coastal Cape What you'll do on a typical day: Responsibilities for supervision activities Participation in technical meetings with clients Supervise/train customers in safe and efficient assembly and application of PERI systems. Check erected formwork & scaffolding and comment on design conformity using site observation documents. Identify and liaise with site management to report misuse and damages of PERI material (rental and sale). Gather required information and communicate with all relevant employees of PERI South Africa. Support verification of customer complaints and assist Order Management to execute appropriate customer service measures. Responsibilities for project management activities (when applicable) Liaise with all internal stakeholders to effectively execute operational solution and those agreed processes are followed. Attend client and supplier meetings to support trouble shooting and provide progress updates. Reporting of project delivery status to operations admin. Escalate performance issues or risks to senior management for adequate mitigation. Drive business excellence through continuous improvement reporting i.e. a) Review fabrication drawings and liaise with technical team regarding design errors, information gaps or practicality issues. b) Delivery issues from technical with incorrect material lists. c) Delivery issues from operations with material mismatch, excess or shortage. d) Delivery issues from order management or material management with site timelines not being met. What you'll need to be successful: Qualification and experience required Minimum 5 years of formwork experience or 6 years’ experience as a carpenter, mason or similar on site. Construction site experience is crucial. Tertiary qualification in civil or mechanical engineering will be advantageous. Skills/Attributes Ability to read and understand formwork drawings. Able to work independently and to take on responsibility. Willingness to travel Excellent organisational and communication skills Customer service mindset Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to liaise with employees at all levels. Hands-on and problem-solving attitude Goal-oriented, trustworthy, and reliable person. Fluent in English Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency An understanding of AUTOCAD or PERICAD will be advantageous.
