Technical Consultant (24-Hr Helpline) (PTA) - Gauteng, Pretoria - Datafin - Pretoria

ENVIRONMENT: A dynamic HealthTech company in Pretoria seeks to fill the role of a Technical Consultant who will resolve day-to-day issues and ensure that critical systems remain operational for a 24-Hour Helpline which serves both local and international clients. This will be a dual DevOps and Client Support role where you will also be expected to maintain, setup and configure client systems, oversee data backup and system security (e.g., user authorisation, firewalls) while provide training and technical support to clients. Applicants will require a solid understanding of network structures, data protection regulations, have proficiency with DevOps tools and preferably Linux servers, Docker, Ansible, Postgres and must have excellent telephone etiquette. Successful candidates will be required to work on a rotating roster of one night shift week and one day shift week. DUTIES: General KPAs - Provide technical support to clients. Resolve day-to-day issues and ensure that critical systems remain operational. Provide customer support for company software. Maintain, setup and configure client systems. Develop and maintain healthy client relationships. Keep clients updated on new products and additions to the software. DevOps-related - Maintain and optimise operational networks and servers. Oversee data backup and system security (e.g., user authorisation, firewalls). Installations, upgrades and configurations of hard- and software. Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements. Automate processes. Resolve problems escalated by Support teams, and/or clients. Ensure that data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines (POPIA). Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via Helpdesk. FCL-related - Provide training to clients who are not comfortable with all functions. Manage and deal with telephonic inquiries and issues and record them on the ticket system. Training and handholding of new clients and installations where necessary. Develop workflows for clients. Any ad-hoc instructions given by Team Leaders or management. REQUIREMENTS: Understanding of Linux, Linux servers, Docker, Ansible, Postgres is advantageous. Understanding of network structures. Understanding of data protection regulations. Experience with DevOps tools. Telephone etiquette. Driver's Licence and own transport. Clean credit record and no criminal record. South African citizenship, or relevant work permit/visa.
