Our client, who has a strong commitment to quality and innovation, is currently seeking a highly qualified Technical Manager to oversee operations in the Southern province of Zambia.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Quality Assurance: Identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring adherence to quality standards and implementing quality assurance systems.
- Raw Material Costing: Manage the costing of raw materials, optimizing procurement processes to ensure cost efficiency.
- Liaison with R&D and Quality Departments: Collaborate with the group's Research and Development and Quality Departments to drive innovation and maintain product excellence.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Raw Material Stock Control: Monitor and control raw material stock volumes, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing wastage.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal stock and quality control measures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Laboratory Management: Oversee the functioning of the laboratory, ensuring accurate testing and analysis, and manage laboratory staff effectively.

- Strong technical knowledge in animal nutrition and feed manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

Qualifications:
- Suitable technical qualification (B.Sc in Agriculture or Agricultural Technology), with a focus on animal nutrition.
- Minimum of five years of operational experience in Livestock Feed Manufacturing.
- Strong scientific background and mechanical aptitude, with experience in feed mill troubleshooting.
