Technical Sales Advisor (Cleaning & Hygiene) - South Africa

Our client, a leading provider of cleaning and hygiene products tailored for the food industry, is seeking a Technical Sales Advisor to join their team. With a focus on quality and innovation, our client offers a range of detergents and disinfectants designed specifically for use in abattoirs, food processing plants, dairy processing, ice cream plants, canning factories, bakeries, drinks factories, and sweet manufacturers. Key Objectives: Assume overall responsibility for driving sales growth and profitability within the region by effectively leading and managing the sales team. Foster strategic partnerships with key customers to retain their business and identify new opportunities for collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve market share and customer satisfaction goals while managing expenses. Provide regular updates on performance and recommendations for enhancing customer service and relationships within the territory. Demonstrate expertise in technical aspects of products and effectively communicate their benefits to customers. Analyze customer needs, recommend suitable products, and address inquiries or concerns in a timely and professional manner. Prepare customer reports and proposals related to technical product solutions. Cultivate long-term relationships with customers to foster loyalty and identify new business opportunities. Track sales performance and share monthly reports with the management team. Ensure adherence to call cycles and accurately document all interactions using CRM software. Monitor market conditions and advise management on competitive changes and product availability. Collaborate with strategic customers to contribute to sustainable business growth and success. Collect and evaluate customer feedback to enhance product offerings and increase market penetration. Experience and Qualifications: Grade 12 plus a relevant degree (BCom / BSc preferred). Minimum of 4 years of successful sales experience. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Results-oriented with exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel extensively (> 4,000 km) and spend 6-8 nights away from home each month.
