Our national client is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Rep to service the Pongola, KZN and surrounding areas, · Conduct field trials with key strategic products to understand application rates, timing, and value proposition development of said products to key focus crops. · Establish and maintain monitoring networks of target insects in key Macadamia production areas in KZN.· Assist with quality management projects at the end-user level. · Providing in-field technical support for all company products as needed and assisting the Area Sales Manager in ensuring commercial trials are undertaken and implemented as planned. · Grade 12· Scientific Degree / Diploma in the field of Agronomy and Agriculture / Entomology· Commerce related degree/diploma would be advantageous. · AVCASA is advantageous (candidates will be required to obtain this qualification in the role, should they not have it)· Minimum 3 years of experience working in similar or related position · Valid driver’s licence and physically able to travel and work in orchards · Good understanding of insect biology and ecology in agroecosystems· Knowledge of pest management products, IPM systems and implementation in citrus· Ability to plan, design and conduct field trials · Computer and data entry skills (Microsoft package.
