Technical Sales Representative at Dutton Plastics Engineering - Gauteng, Alberton - Alberton

Dutton Plastics Engineering is looking for a Sales Representative who will be responsible for sales, customer service and technical support within an allocated region. The office is in Alrode, Johannesburg. Duties & Responsibilities Development and drive B2B sales while ensuring alignment with the company's overall business goals and objectives. Collaborate with the team to action business strategies that promote customer retention. Act as an escalation point for challenging issues or complaints, working closely with the team to reach effective resolutions. Clearly communicate the unique value proposition of the company's products or services to clients, addressing how they meet their specific needs. Utilise historical data and market trends to create accurate sales forecasts for different time frames, aiding in resource planning and goal achievement. Conduct regular analyses of competitors' sales strategies, pricing, and market positioning to improve the company's own sales approach. Analyse customer data to identify different customer segments, enabling personalised marketing and sales strategies for each segment. Spot emerging market trends and shifts in customer behaviour that could impact sales and propose timely adjustments to the sales goals. Uphold and promote the company's values, mission, and vision, ensuring alignment with the overall organisational culture. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in consumer behaviour, and share this knowledge with the sales team to enhance company effectiveness. Experience & Qualification Grade 12 Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent related field. The ability to speak, read and write in English, Afrikaans and an African language would be a strong advantage. Microsoft Office and an intermediate level of Excel is a must, including the ability to effectively manipulate, compile and analyse data. Proven experience as a B2B Sales role or a similar role in the building/hardware industry. Strong understanding of the retail building industry. Demonstrated success in servicing a large customer base. Ability to develop and drive brand awareness and generate leads. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Result-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. The successful candidate should be willing to visit sites and attend to service calls. The successful candidate will be required to travel for business.
