Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills Education / Training and Experience Requirement(s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, education / training, and experience required for this position. Full detail available upon request: Matric, Grade 12 or equivalent qualification Forklift operator license Code 8 drivers license Trade test, 5 years industry experience, STEP 1 technical competencies Minimum of 5-year work experience in the electrical field or similar industrial equipment environment Excellent electrical knowledge Ability to interpret and apply technical information Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications Ability to identify and correctly utilise relevant diagnostic equipment and specialised tools Ability to perform accurate diagnosis / troubleshooting Must be of sober habits, have high energy levels and general good health – must be declared fit for physical performance requirements of these tasks - physically able to carry, lift, and move heavy objects; must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time; must be able to bend, stretch, twist and reach with body, arms and/or legs. Highly developed prioritising and multi-tasking skills; strong sense of urgency; problem solving and decision-making skills; must be able to function effectively under pressure Strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work with little or no supervision and still complete tasks timeously; enthusiastic, self-motivated and can use own initiative; deadline and results orientated Key performance areas: Drive customer service excellence (build and develop strong, loyal relationships with internal and external customers, foster and maintain dedication to service excellence in every aspect of work carried out; ensure timeous feedback / communication to customers, ensure internal and external CSI targets are met, etc.) Ensure team contributions are focused to grow department in line with company requirements. Must be able to interpret fitment guides and instructions Must have strong ability to understand telematics systems Understanding the fundamental of the portal related to the telematics system is compulsory Deliver on customer expectations Ensure that customer and Branch issues are resolved in a timely manner. Monitor and advise on machine operational functionality on the web portal Visit customers to inspect quality of machines communicating to the portal Perform accurate diagnosis / trouble shooting in the event of breakdowns to the equipment. Ensuring data in the portal is correct and correctly added in respect to contact details, machine details and customer information Ensuring all telematics systems are active and always communicating Monitor and resolve warranty claims. Develop a high awareness of improvement opportunities throughout the workforce.
