Territory Account Manager - South Africa

Online Food Ordering company is looking to recruit a Territory Account Manager (6 - 12 month contract) Whether it's a sandwich or a burrito, the companies team builds technology to connect people with what they want, when and where they want it. Our Territory teams are on the frontline introducing restaurants to our dynamic company and growing our businesses together. Who are we looking for? Someone who is natural at selling and knows where the best eats are around town, passionate about food , and enjoys negotiating to build the best partnerships. The primary focus will be bringing on new small-and-medium sized merchants (not necessarily only restaurants) that fit our partnership criteria, and you'll use your skills in emailing, cold-calling, and driving internal processes to set up our partnerships for success. About the Role This role calls for a combination of an operational mindset, analysis of performance and exceptional relationship management . You should thrive in an "all hands-on deck" start-up environment, love solving problems, and above all be passionate about our partners. Duties: Drive business performance in specific cities/areas in South Africa Build best restaurant/merchant offerings optimizing operational performance Identify and initiate new partnership opportunities with top merchants in your territory Tackle or escalate complex support issues for timely resolution Achieve and consistently exceed monthly targets Champion deep relationships with partners, identifying and acting on opportunities to grow their delivery business Drive on-the-ground knowledge and context about the city you operate in, to the business Act as an ambassador Develop business in specific areas/ cities, both on the topline (orders and client’s growth) and bottom line (average basket size), with a strong focus on the merchant dimension. Drive business performance in your Area. Identify key restaurants to acquire to expand the product selection already available, and coordinate sales team to make sure you close the deal. Build best restaurant offering Maintain relationships with most important restaurant accounts in your area (maximizing their financials, marketing efforts, engagement, and satisfaction). Key influencer in their delivery business Acquire extensive knowledge of the area and cities to identify further options to keep developing the business (opening hours extension, new suburbs to cover etc.) Minimum Requirements 1 year experience in a sales /account management role. Take initiative and easily adapt to constantly changing work environments. Desire to work with restaurants/merchants Building a strategic partnership, being proactive, creating positive and lasting relationships to bring them added value and helping them to reach their potential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuasively communicate recommendations and effectively champion customer needs. Highly autonomous - able to work with minimal oversight Project Management : Good organization , prioritisation & time management skills Ability to compute numbers and land on a data-driven strategy for executing Problem solving skills : Ability to identify problems and work out the box to solve them.
