A well-established Plastic Manufacturing company based in the East Rand is seeking a Toolmaker to join their team Requirements: Minimum 10 years' experience in a Toolmaker role Relevant education / Trade Responsibilities: Ensure that tooling is serviced and set up to the correct specification, available for production with all necessary equipment and fittings in line with planning requirements Perform preventative maintenance on tool and dies Troubleshoot issues with tool and dies to ensure production needs are met Maintain and upgrade fixtures and gages Leads employees in good die maintenance and build practices Instructs in general machining practices Makes decisions and judgements about proper course of action for repairs and maintenance Maintains good safety and housekeeping practices Demonstrates good short- and long-term decision making and trouble shooting skills, tool room machining practices, safety, diagnosis of problems and course of action, and tool room repair and maintenance work Responsible for providing and implementing process improvement ideas Promotes teamwork and shows a willingness to work well in other departments Demonstrates good work planning practices to do jobs in a very timely, efficient and safe manner Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the Factory/position Desired Skills: Toolmaker Tool Jig and Die Maker Senior Toolmaker Employer & Job Benefits: Bargaining Council and Provident Fund
