Kendrick Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Tour Consultant Team Leader for a luxury brand. The role will be based in Heidelberg. Role Description This is a full-time role for a Tour Consultant Team Leader with experience in the luxury inbound market. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding inbound travel services to our clients, managing a team of consultants, itinerary planning, creating and managing bookings, coaching & developing team members, overseeing the running of all tours and resolving conflict when it arises. You will also maintain relationships with suppliers and find solutions to any issues that may arise pre & post clients travelling. Responsibilities Managing a team of consultants Managing & Distribution of new inquiries Overseeing all aspects of all tours from quoting through to post tour file closure with your team Ensuring all in-country guest tours run smoothly and without error. Finding solutions when needed Being on call to problem solve for in-country guests after hours while they are travelling Reconciling cancelled tours and assisting with complex costings Reporting on conversion rates & sales Setting and meeting targets Working with Systems Lead on the smooth operation & implementation of all DTE systems with your team Qualifications & Skills Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in a managerial role within the luxury inbound travel industry Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-profile clients & agents Exceptional knowledge of luxury travel destinations, accommodations, and experiences in Southern and/or East Africa Excellent written and verbal command of the English language Proficiency in Tourplan is essential Proven ability to work effectively in a team Crisis management and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and organizational skill Solutions driven Working with a sense of urgency and meeting deadlines Motivating team members Salary: Competitive and market-related.
