Traffic and Operations Manager - North Johannesburg

The candidate must be able to operate well in a high paced environment, and will manage the traffic, studio operations (email marketing, email media campaigns, support and design) and QA (quality assurance) functions of the business. The Traffic Manager will also interface with clients and should possess the necessary level of people skills and conflict resolution ability. The candidate will lead, develop, and manage the studio and support teams, implementing service standards and developing common systems and processes based on industry best practice. They will ensure that the production and support service is efficient, effective and can adapt to changing circumstances. Day to day responsibilities: Responsible for managing the team that designs, develops, implements, and manages email based campaigns and programs on behalf of our enterprise clients. Manage design, production and support process, allocation of resources, controlling timetables to ensure timeous delivery to customers. Responsible for coordinating and managing projects that range from basic email marketing campaigns to software and large solution implementations. Development of operational and QA processes and procedures, implementation and ongoing management and refinements. Continually optimizes, analyses and makes recommendations on improving team performance and quality of work to ensure best possible results for customers. Acting as a catalyst for change and improvement of performance/quality. Determining team training needs. Manage team’s tasks and projects through a dedicated system. Reports directly to directors. The candidate will be expected to give thorough status reports and show how the systems and procedures they are implementing are improving team performance. Stay current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards relating to email marketing and email platforms, project management and customer service. Requirements: Knowledge/understanding of email marketing and email platforms Presentable and well-spoken, and able to deal with customers and colleagues well in a high pressure environment. Good communicator with a sense of responsibility Team leader with a talent for motivating others Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work independently Organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly analytical and structured thinking – you need to be an expert in identifying and prioritizing multiple tasks. Should be a stickler for detail and have an eye for design. Technical Requirements: Minimum three years’ experience in leading or supervising position Minimum five years’ relevant experience in traffic, support/production and client management Advanced project management skills Advanced computer literacy; proficient with everyday PC work and MS applications. HTML knowledge is a plus CCS knowledge is a plus Graphic design knowledge is a plus Apply Now
