Drake International Our client in the transportation infrastructure industry is seeking an experienced Traffic Centre Manager (Road and Traffic Control) to be responsible for the traffic-engineering functions of the Traffic Management Centre.The role will supervise, assign, and review the work of operations staff, dispatch staff, and supervisors. He/she is actively responsible for all activities in the control room floor i.e., scheduling, activities, and personnel conduct on the control room floor in the TMC.RESPONSIBILITIES:Traffic engineering functions of TMC.Supervision of TMC staff.Review of TMC work for the various TMC staff.Ensure regular, progressive, and level-appropriate training and supervision of staff.Scheduling (roster), activities, and personnel conduct within the TMC floor.Encouraging teamwork.Development of professional skills set.Motivate StaffDeal with external Stakeholders (law enforcement)Ensure and coordinate the TMC Operations i.e. daily, weekly and monthly such as: Daily shift Roster Daily KPI spreadsheet Dispatchers KPI spreadsheet Monthly Progress Report Monthly Operations Report Monthly OHS Report, (Inspection, First Aid, Fire Extinguisher's, Access Report) Represent the Road Incident Management System Committe for various locationsEnsure and coordinate the TMC Performance Management.Ensure that troubleshooting takes place for various TMC equipment devices (i.e. Camera's, VMSes etc).Host monthly operation & stakeholders debriefing sessions & monthly technical meetings.Attend team safety toolbox briefing/ talk at the commencement of every shift and/ or specific/ unique task.Ensure appropriate PPE is used and in good condition in order to perform specific tasks/ working conditions.Identify and report any SHE incident/ accidents immediately as per the SHE system.Identify and report unsafe conditions that could lead to unsafe working conditions and/ or environment harm immediately.Monitor and identify work practices to ensure work is performed in accordance with relevant HSE working procedures/ work instructions.Monitor housekeeping and ensure HSE standards are maintained.Performs tasks assigned in terms of the SHE system.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Minimum Grade 12 Certificate or equivalentCertificate in Call Centre management/ or Traffic Engineering (will be advantageous)MS Office (intermediate in PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, and Microsoft Outlook)Minimum 5 years' experience within a traffic control/ management, civil, electrical or traffic engineering environment Valid SA driver's licenseRequired competencies to meet the job outcomes:Working knowledge of BCEAAttention to detailTeam orientatedAssertivenessGood people skillsAnalytical skillsPresentation skillsNegotiation skills Apply Now
