Description We are looking for a Transport Cross Border Controller to manage and coordinates the transportation of goods. Their duties may include but not limited to: Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all transportation activities comply with relevant international, national, and local regulations, including customs, immigration, and transportation laws. Documentation: Overseeing the preparation and verification of necessary documentation for cross-border transport, such as customs declarations, bills of lading, and permits. Coordination: Coordinating with various stakeholders involved in cross-border transportation, including drivers, carriers, customs officials, freight forwarders, and border control authorities. Routing and Scheduling: Planning and optimizing transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery while minimizing costs and delays. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with cross-border transportation, such as border delays, security threats, and compliance issues. Communication: Serving as a central point of contact for communication between all parties involved in the transportation process, including providing updates on shipment status, resolving issues, and addressing customer inquiries. Quality Assurance: Monitoring the quality and condition of goods during transportation to ensure they arrive at their destination in the expected condition. Cost Management: Monitoring transportation costs, negotiating rates with carriers, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible. Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns, resolving disputes, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the transportation process. Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cross-border transportation operations.
