Our client is a 100% percent Black owned company that was established in 1997, specialising in the collection and disposal of general, domestic waste. Our client is currently actively seeking to employ a Transport & Logistics Manager who will actively be involved in scheduling routes, tracking deliveries and collections, coordinate with warehouse employees and drivers on processes, deliveries and collections, monitor and manage transportation costs, ensures compliance with transport regulations, reviews and manage budgets, build delivery routes , and maintain records. Planning and managing transportation and customer services Directing, optimizing and coordinating full cycle of deliveries, collections process Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, processing plants and customers Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services, in consultation wit the General Manager, Plant / Branch Managers and Logistics Manager Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency Plan routes and process collections and deliveries Resolve any arising problems or complaints Manage, coach and train Transport Department employees Manage budgets, costs, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements Schedule daily and weekly routes Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software) Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure proper storage and distribution of products Ensure delivery and collection (Manifests) documents are properly processed and filed Manage maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment Research, recommend and implement cost-effective transport, processes and methods Conduct regular safety audits on equipment and vehicles. Organize training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines and handling of hazardous material. Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed order, deliveries and collections, and Ensure compliance and development of policies for the department in line with the relevant legislation and procedures. Stay up-to-date with safety regulations MUST HAVE: 1. BSc: Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant degree 2. Solid knowledge and Experience in supply chain management 3. Code 08 drivers license. 4. 2 - 5yrs proven work experience as a Transport Manager 5. Proficient in logistics software Car Track Key fleet, etc. R40 000 - R45 000 per month Provident fund Apply Now
