Job Title: Ventilation OfficerLocation: North West Region, Mining IndustryRPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ventilation Officer to join their team in the North West region of the mining industry. The Ventilation Officer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the ventilation system within the mine site to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement ventilation plans in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Conduct regular inspections of ventilation systems and equipment to identify and address any issues or deficiencies.Collaborate with other departments to coordinate ventilation activities and ensure alignment with overall mine operations.Provide training and guidance to employees on ventilation procedures and best practices.Investigate incidents and accidents related to ventilation issues and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence.Maintain accurate records and documentation related to ventilation systems and activities.Stay current on industry trends and advancements in ventilation technology to continuously improve ventilation systems.Essential Requirements:MatricChamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental ControlCertificate in Environmental Health will be advantageousCertificate in Occupational Hygiene will be advantageousAssociated member of the Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa6 years experiences in a trackless, and conventional underground mining environment, with practical experience in the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene fieldStrong knowledge of ventilation systems and equipment, as well as relevant regulations and standards.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.Certification in mine ventilation or a related field is preferred.Benefits:Salary: R840K p/a - R700K p/aFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) If you meet the above requirements and want to make a career-changing move, apply today by either filling in the online application form or emailing your CV to RPO Recruitment at miningrporecruitment.usAlternatively, you are also welcome to contact Anzaan Kennedy on LinkedIn or call her on 021 180 0776.Please note that correspondence will only be conducted with shortlisted candidates for this position.
