Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations in regards to ventilation and air quality Conduct regular inspections and assessments to evaluate ventilation systems and control measures Develop and implement ventilation plans and procedures to maintain acceptable air quality Monitor and analyze air quality data to identify potential hazards and recommend necessary actions Provide training and guidance to staff regarding ventilation procedures and equipment Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on ventilation matters Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in ventilation and air quality management Requirements Grade 12/NQF Level 4 certificate is essential Chamber of Mines Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control is required Certificate in Environmental Health will be advantageous Certificate in Occupational Hygiene will be advantageous Certificate in Occupational Hygiene Risk Assessment will be advantageous Certificate in Occupational Hygiene Legislation will be advantageous Associated member – Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa Minimum of 5 years experiences in a trackless, and conventional underground mining environment, with practical experience in the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene field is essential Must have own transport and a valid driver’s licence Be in good health and have a certificate of fitness Benefits Salary: negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Training & Development Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
